English with the 8th graders

The texts we read

In english we have been working with the subject "families". It is very fun to write about our own families because we get to think about and compare our families to the rest of the class. We read texts about different families from different cultures.
We also learn new english words and many different things.

Cooperative learning

During this subject we have been using cooperative learning, when we work in groups. Its a good way to work because we work in groups. One of the ways we worked is a reading model where everyone in the group has a role. One is the reader, another makes references, another writes down new or difficult words and the last person explains the context. This is good because everyone is active.

An essay on family and values

We wrote essays about our families. Everyone had to write 300 words on the subject "My family values".
